Titanic Experience Cobh
Where 123 Passengers Took Their Final Steps
Housed in the original White Star Line ticket office in Cobh (formerly Queenstown), the Titanic Experience recreates the historic moments when 123 passengers boarded the ill-fated RMS Titanic in April 1912. The building itself played a vital role in maritime history — and walking through it feels like stepping into the past.
Each visitor receives a real boarding pass bearing the name of one of the passengers who joined Titanic from Cobh. As you move through the exhibition, you follow their personal story — discovering who survived and who was lost.
What to See and Do
Explore interactive galleries featuring personal letters, passenger stories, and recreated interiors. One highlight is the immersive cinematic experience showing the ship's sinking and the rescue efforts that followed.
Staff-led guided tours add rich historical detail and emotion to the experience, making it more than just a museum — it’s a personal connection to history.
Cobh itself offers beautiful harbour views, and the nearby Queenstown Story museum complements your visit.
Fun Fact
The building was once the departure point for nearly 2.5 million Irish emigrants heading to North America.
